Level 2 is ideal if you’re just starting out in hairdressing or already has some basic knowledge and want an understanding of the industry, enough to succeed in a job in the area or to move on to further study.
You will study a variety of units relating to Hairdressing which may include:
- Client consultation for hair services;
- Shampoo and consultation for hair and scalp;
- Promote products and services to clients in a salon;
- Cut women’s hair;
- Colour and lighten hair;
- The art of dressing hair;
- Create an image based on a theme within the hair and beauty sector;
- Health and safety;
- Enterprise activities.
You will be enrolled on a Study Programme which will include mandatory attendance on your vocational course and English and Maths if required following assessment, as well as engagement in work experience and enterprise activities throughout the duration of the course.
Diploma in Women Hair Dressing These qualifications give you the foundations to begin a career in hairdressing or to advance in your career by gaining new skills. Following on from successful completion of this course you can progress onto either an NVQ or VRQ at Level 3 in Hairdressing or alternatively you may choose to consider a Level 2 qualification in Barbering.
